Near Braunton, North Devon (approx 40 minute drive from The Mole)

Saunton Sands is a dog-friendly beach that allows dogs all year round. This beautiful, 3-mile stretch of golden sand is perfect for long walks, beach games, and cooling off in the surf. Saunton Sands is located between the dog-friendly villages of Croyde and Braunton, making it an ideal beach stop.

Hele Bay (Near Ilfracombe)
Ilfracombe, North Devon (approx 50 minute drive from The Mole)

For a quieter experience, Hele Bay is a small, peaceful beach that’s dog-friendly all year round. It’s perfect for a calm day with your dog, where you can both enjoy the stunning coastal views and tranquil atmosphere.

Rockham/ Mortehoe Beach (Near Ilfracombe)
Mortehoe, near Ilfracombe (approx 50 minute drive from The Mole)

Rockham Beach is accessible only at low tide, which gives it a more secluded, peaceful feel. You can park in Mortehoe and take a coastal path to reach the beach. It’s a great spot for dogs to explore and enjoy the surf without large crowds.

Instow Beach 
Instow, North Devon (approx 35 minutes from The Mole)

Instow Beach is a popular dog-friendly beach located on the estuary of the River Torridge. It’s ideal for a relaxed day out with your dog, as it allows for off-lead play, and the sandy shore is perfect for walking along the water’s edge.
